Expand the Diversity in Medicine Programs and Scholarship
Diversity in the physician workforce is essential – something which is even more apparent now during the COVID-19 pandemic. AMSNY's Diversity in Medicine Programs and Scholarship have been supporting Black, Latinx, and Native American students in their quest to become doctors for more than 30 years.
Governor Hochul is developing the FY2022-2023 New York State budget now and has a chance to address drastic racial disparities highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic, by expanding these valuable programs which have sustained drastic cuts over the years.
Write to the Governor and share your story about how the Diversity in Medicine Program and Scholarship have impacted your life and tell them to invest in these critically needed and successful programs.
